Embodiment of Memory in Body, Soul and Nation
"זָכוֹר יְמֵי עוֹלָם, בִּינוּ שְׁנוֹת דֹּר וָדוֹר"
“Remember the days of old, comprehend the time of passing generations”
This lecture explores the fascinating concept of memory from two perspectives. Jewish thinking perceives the memory that we carry L’Dor V'Dor as a crucial part of our story, as people and nation. Both the “Hurban” (destruction) and the “Tkuma” (resurrection) are carried within our DNA. The way the memories of our life's experiences are embedded in our body are discussed in Chinese medical texts as information carried in the blood and woven within our tissues.
We will discuss how both traditions view the body as a repository of memories and experiences, emphasizing the interplay between physical health and emotional well-being of man and nation.
By examining the connections between our physical being and our lived experiences, we aim to uncover deeper insights into the nature of memory and healing. Join us as we bridge ancient wisdom with contemporary understanding, highlighting the profound relationship between body, mind, and spirit.
