Shabbat In Action - January 17th
Join us for our first morning of mitzvot: Cooking with Heart for Room at the Inn
We are honored to launch Shabbat In Action by partnering with Room at the Inn, a 24/7 interfaith shelter that empowers individuals experiencing homelessness to move toward stability through education, referrals, and compassionate case management.
Founded in 1993 and supported by more than 50 interfaith congregations, Room at the Inn works across faiths and communities to ensure that no one has to face homelessness alone. Their work embodies the values of dignity, partnership, and hope—values we are proud to support.
What We’ll Do:
Together, we will prepare a home-cooked dinner that will be served to 23 guests at Room at the Inn. No culinary expertise required. This is a wonderful opportunity to cook, connect, and do a mitzvah side by side.

• Who: Ages 8 and up (all cooking skill levels welcome!)
• When: 10:30 AM–12:00 PM
• Where: UH Kitchen
• Can’t cook with us? You can still help! Volunteers are also needed to deliver the meal at 3:30 PM to 3415 Bridgeland Dr., Bridgeton, MO.
